Therapy
I specialise in working with people with ADHD, Autism or executive functioning challenges. We will create a personalized plan to address your specific challenges and help you build the resilience to overcome them. Together, we can work on areas such as stress management, organization, emotional regulation, communication, social skills, psycho-education, and planning for the future.
Psychological Educational Assessment
I provide intelligence testing (WISC/WAIS) and academic testing (WIAT), offering you a detailed report with standard scores. These scores can be used to apply for accommodations for IB exams, such as extra time or the use of a word processor with spellcheck.
Training
Are you interested in learning more about your (child’s) diagnosis, looking to establish a support group, organize a book club, or plan a professional development day at your school? Contact me and we can develop a program tailored to meet your specific objectives.
Els Daemen
As a seasoned therapist and educator with over 20 years of experience, I am dedicated to supporting children and adults facing emotional or educational challenges. My passion lies in empowering people with the skills and strategies they need to grow, thrive and achieve their full potential.
I specialise in working with people with Autism, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. Trained in Belgium with a full license and a Master’s degree in Psychology and Educational Sciences, I bring a wealth of expertise to my practice. I offer individual and family counseling session, both in person (Bonn) or online. Sessions can be conducted in English, Dutch or German. My approach is rooted in the principles of behavioural therapy, with a strong emphasis on tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. Currently based in Germany and working at an International School, I am uniquely positioned to support international families navigating the complexity of living abroad and raising Third Culture Kids.
I believe in the transformative power of collaboration. By partnering with parents and educators, I ensure a holistic approach that fosters long lasting change. Together, we can create a supportive network that guides each individual toward a brighter, more fulfilling future.
